Ukrnafta will allocate approximately UAH 2.9 billion to protecting its facilities by the end of 2026 amid intensifying Russian attacks, the company's CEO, Bohdan Kukura, announced.
"We are allocating around UAH 2.9 billion this year to protection and security. We are moving some facilities underground, building protective structures, creating equipment reserves, and strengthening operational autonomy and alternative energy supply systems," Kukura said.
He also reported that Ukrnafta plans to drill and commission 15 wells by the end of the year. Three of these have already been completed in cooperation with Ukrgasvydobuvannya.
The company is also modernising equipment across its facilities.
"Over the first eight months, 63 electric submersible pump units were installed in wells, bringing the total number of operational units to 226. The average time between repairs for wells equipped with modern electric submersible pumps increased from 214 days in 2024 to 410 days in 2026, reaching 786 days for the newest systems," Kukura said.
In addition, as of September, 420 wells had been connected to remote monitoring and control systems.
