For the first time, Ukroboronprom has made it into the top 50 global defense companies, ranking 49th.
This was reported by Ukraine's Minister of Strategic Industries, Oleksandr Kamyshin, on Telegram, citing the Defense News ranking.
According to Kamyshin, last year Ukroboronprom was ranked 65th, but the company managed to climb 16 positions in a year. He noted that among the top 100 largest defense companies in the world, Ukroboronprom is growing the fastest, with its revenue increasing by 72% in 2023, reaching $2.2 billion.
"Of course, no ranking is our goal today, and this rapid development is, unfortunately, driven by critical necessity," he emphasized.
At the same time, Kamyshin noted that the current goal of the entire Ukrainian defense industry is to produce as much quality weaponry as possible, as quickly as possible, with ongoing modernization efforts for the Defense Forces.
