Ukrzaliznytsia has evacuated more than a million of ukrainian citizens since the beginning of the war


The company reminds that boarding evacuation trains is free and carried out in order of priority – first children, women and the elderly, then other passengers.

Ukrzaliznytsia has evacuated more than 1 million citizens from hot spots in 8 days since the start of Russian aggression against Ukraine.

The press service of the company reported this.

“The evacuation process does not stop day or night: all available rolling stock of the railway is involved in the transportation of citizens. The report says that the main evacuation flights depart from Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Kyiv to Lviv, Uzhgorod, Rakhiv and other cities in western Ukraine,” the report says.

Most Ukrainians go to Poland, trying to get there by rail to Poland. This is the situation observed at the Lviv railway station – people are literally storming trains to Poland.

Since the Russian invasion on February 24, 2022, 1.2 million people have left Ukraine.
