Starting February 1, 2025, Ukrzaliznytsia will reduce discounts on international trains to Poland and Hungary, while ticket prices will rise. This was announced by the company’s press service.

Ukrzaliznytsia noted that discounts for tickets to Austria and Moldova will remain unchanged.

"Previously, to promote its international routes, Ukrzaliznytsia agreed to special discounts with neighboring countries' railways. However, due to rising costs of materials and energy resources, the company has incurred significant losses in passenger transportation, reaching 18 billion UAH last year," the company explained.

As a result of the reduced discount, ticket prices to Poland will increase by 20-27% for first-class Intercity+ and SV carriages, and by 9-27% for couchette carriages.

Specifically, ticket prices for the Kyiv-Warsaw train will rise by 37%, while the Kyiv-Budapest route will see increases of 17% for SV carriages and 21% for couchette carriages.

"Until January 31, 2025, tickets for these routes in February can still be purchased at the current prices via the app and Ukrzaliznytsia's official website," the company added.
