Nine people were killed in Ternopil as a result of a Russian attack. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this on Telegram.
According to the President, Russian strikes hit residential nine-storey buildings in Ternopil, causing fires. There is significant destruction, and people may still be trapped under the rubble. All emergency services are working on-site, doing everything possible to save lives, Zelenskyy noted. As of now, dozens of people are reported injured and nine killed.


Zelenskyy added that on the previous evening, Russia also carried out a massive strike on Kharkiv. Dozens of people in the city were wounded, including children, and the attack damaged energy, transport, and civilian infrastructure.
Russia also targeted energy facilities in Ivano-Frankivsk region, injuring three people, including two children.
In Lviv region, the Russian forces struck critical and energy infrastructure.
One person was injured in Donetsk region. Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions also came under attack, the President said.
