Russia is spreading disinformation about the ratings of support for the government among Ukrainians, which is why it is important to publicly release and provide partners with the results of Ukrainian sociological surveys. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during a briefing for media representatives.
The head of state noted that the U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia, Kit Kellogg, who is visiting Ukraine, will have the opportunity to receive the trust ratings and talk to Ukrainians to understand their attitude towards the Ukrainian government, Russia’s concessions, and whether they trust the Russian dictator.
“For me, the task is for Mr. Kellogg to get the information himself—to understand what is happening. Of course, there will be meetings regarding the military, intelligence, and the Security Service. Any requests from the other side, any requests our side has received—we are open to this,” said the President.
Volodymyr Zelensky also confirmed his willingness to go to the front line with General Kellogg to meet with the soldiers who are defending Ukraine from Russian aggression.
“We’ll go, and let him speak with the soldiers. Are the soldiers ready to urgently vote to go home? To give everything to the ‘Russians’ and have no security guarantees? Let him ask the people who are living and fighting here. It seems to me that there are answers to all of this in the words of ordinary people,” emphasized the Head of State.
