Guatemala's First Lady, Lucrecia Peinado, will attend the 4th Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen, scheduled to take place in Kyiv this September. She informed Ukraine's First Lady, Olena Zelenska, during a video call.
Olena Zelenska thanked Lucrecia Peinado for Guatemala's support and cooperation with Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion. Guatemala has joined the Crimea Platform, supported all UN General Assembly resolutions concerning Ukraine, co-sponsored some of them, participated in the first Peace Summit, and joined its communiqué.
"Ms. Peinado is an experienced specialist in health and development projects, having worked in these fields throughout her life. Her expertise will enhance the Summit’s projects. This year’s Summit focuses on child safety, and health—both physical and mental—is a crucial aspect of that safety. I am confident that we will not only discuss this but also implement many joint steps to protect children, regardless of where they are," said Olena Zelenska.
The main topics of the 4th Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen will include child safety during armed conflicts, in the family, at school, and in the online space.
