Zelensky discussed the continuation of defense aid to Ukraine with the King of the Netherlands

During an audience with King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, President Volodymyr Zelensky thanked him and the people of the country for their support and discussed, in particular, the continuation of defense aid to Ukraine.

“An audience with King Willem-Alexander at the Huis ten Bosch Palace in The Hague. I thank His Majesty for this dialogue and support for Ukraine. Grateful to the Netherlands and all the Dutch people for their strong and unwavering solidarity with our country. We value the Netherlands’ contribution to strengthening our defense capabilities and resilience,” he wrote on his Telegram channel after the audience.

Zelenskyy noted that during the meeting with the king, the continuation of defense aid was discussed. He informed the monarch about the situation on the battlefield.

“The President and the King discussed the continuation of defense aid to Ukraine. Volodymyr Zelenskyy briefed on the situation on the battlefield and the ongoing Russian strikes on Ukrainian cities and communities, critical infrastructure, and residential buildings. Special attention was given to measures for ensuring justice and joint efforts with partners to achieve a dignified peace. The Head of State highlighted the active role of the Netherlands in the Coalition of the Willing and thanked them for working together for peace in Ukraine and across Europe,” the statement on the website of the Ukrainian Head of State concluded.
