President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has dismissed Prosecutor General Irina Venediktova.

This is stated in the decree published on the website of the Office of the President.

"In accordance with the second part of Article 11 of the Law of Ukraine "On the legal regime of martial law" I decide:

Remove Venediktova Irina Valentinovna from the post of Prosecutor General," the document says.

Zelensky assigned the duties of Prosecutor General to Deputy Venediktova Oleksiy Symonenko.

Recall that Irina Venediktova became the Prosecutor General of Ukraine on March 17, 2020.
