Over the course of a week, Russia attacked Ukraine with more than 1,700 attack drones, 1,380 guided aerial bombs, and 69 missiles of various types, targeting the energy sector, critical infrastructure, and residential buildings.
This was reported on Telegram by President Volodymyr Zelensky.
“The main targets Russia is striking now are our energy sector, critical infrastructure, and residential buildings. In just this past week alone, the Russians launched more than 1,700 attack drones, over 1,380 guided aerial bombs, and 69 missiles of various types,” the statement said.
Zelensky emphasized that every large-scale Russian strike can be devastating. Therefore, Ukraine needs missiles for air defense systems, a task it continues to work on jointly with the United States and Europe.
Today in Vilnius, the head of state will meet with the presidents of Lithuania and Poland. According to him, the talks will include strengthening support for Ukraine.
“Everyone must clearly understand the threat coming from Russia, and it is our nations that understand this best. I thank everyone who is helping us stand strong,” Zelensky added.
