Ukrainian President Volodymyr urged people to remain calm in a brief video
Zelensky statement:
"Dear citizens of Ukraine, this morning President Putin announced a special military operation in Donbass. Russia has attacked our military infrastructure and our border troops. The blasts were heard in many cities of Ukraine. We are imposing martial law throughout our country.
A minute ago, I had a telephone conversation with President Biden. The United States has already begun to mobilize international support.
Today we need you to keep calm. If possible, please stay home. We work. The army is working. The entire defense sector of Ukraine is working. Me, the National Security and Defense Council, and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will be in constant contact with you.
Don't panic. We are strong. We are ready for everything. We will all win. Because we are Ukraine.
