During the 5.5 months of Russia's war against Ukraine, almost 10 million tons of eight items of agricultural products and their processing were exported. In the first two weeks of August, Ukraine exported almost 2 million grains, while for the whole of July it was 3 million tons. In the first half of August, the most significant amount of corn was exported - 776,000 tons and wheat - 339,000 tons.

Before the opening of Odessa ports, as of August 1, almost 8 million tons of food were shipped. Last year, the figure for March-July was more than twice as large - 19.5 million tons.

The leader for the current five months of total exports is corn, its volume is 3.8 million tons. For example, last year, corn also dominated in this period, its export share was the largest among other crops - 10 million tons, which is 37% more than in 2022.

The second position in terms of volume in the same period is occupied by sunflower seeds - 1.4 million tons. This is 34 times more than in 2021. Meanwhile, Ukraine exported 48% less oil than last year - 935.7 thousand tons.

636.1 thousand tons of wheat were shipped in five months. This is only 16% of last year's volume, which was 3.8 million tons.

The situation is similar with barley, for 5 months of the current year, 239.1 thousand tons of it were shipped, which is 17% of last year's export. Instead, the export of soybeans this year for the specified period was more: 372.7 thousand tons against 301 thousand tons last year.

Soybean oil holds a relatively good position, its export is 77.7 thousand tons, last year its share was 20% higher. Meals were exported for more than 403,000 tons, which is only 22% of last year's deliveries.

Exports from March to July increased by 89% - from 331,000 tons to almost 3 million tons.

The general picture of exported food in percentages is as follows: 48.9% is corn, 17.25% - sunflower seeds, 11.89% - sunflower oil, 8.08% - wheat, 5.13% - meal, soybeans - 4, 73%, barley - 3.04%, soybean oil - 0.99%.

Export of products in terms of their transportation is as follows: more than 3.5 million tons of agricultural products were exported through ports, 3.1 million tons by rail, 1.1 million tons by car, and 95.5 thousand tons by ferry.

Twice a month, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy will update the data of the dashboard in terms of the export of agricultural crops by their types and shipment logistics. The information will be published on the department's website.
