Ukrainian startups presented their solutions to British investors and the tech community at the UK’s largest technology conference, London Tech Week. This was the demo day of the second cohort of the UK-Ukraine TechBridge Investment Accelerator programme.

The programme’s goal is to support Ukrainian startups, help them enter the UK market, and attract international investments.

For 10 weeks, developers worked with British experts and venture funds. The programme included:

  • Mentorship from British buddy-mentors experienced in investment attraction and provision;
  • Training through lectures, masterclasses, and workshops by representatives of British VC funds;
  • Direct access to investors through Speed Dating with funds, pitch sessions, and personal meetings;
  • An offline bootcamp in London with networking and discussions with experts from the British startup ecosystem.

The UK-Ukraine TechBridge Investment Accelerator engaged over 15 experts from the British venture investment market, including Mountside Ventures, Affinity Ventures, Dawn Capital, Blue Lake VC, Morgan Stanley Ventures, Venrex, Samos Investments, BackFuture, Juniper Place, Tenity, Edge Investments, Beringea, Albion VC, Skyrora Ventures, and Mangrove Capital Partners.

This year, 19 startups at stages from Late Pre-Seed to Series A, seeking funding from $500,000 to $5 million, joined the programme. Eleven Ukrainian startups had the opportunity to present their developments at London Tech Week demo day. Among them:

  • AllClinicalTrials — helps patients easily find and sign up for clinical trials
  • Carbominer — innovative hardware startup developing technology to capture carbon dioxide from air
  • buzzabout — helps marketers conduct market research by extracting key narratives from billions of social media discussions using AI
  • CONSOLID.AI — unites carriers, operators, and other logistics companies into one digital logistics ecosystem
  • Deeployalty — helps retail and banks attract and monetize customer bases by replacing receipts and plastic loyalty cards
  • JobCannon — AI platform matching candidates to employers based on skills rather than just resumes
  • Mantis Analytics — AI platform monitoring and analyzing information space to detect manipulations and fake news
  • UpLife — app improving users’ mental health through digital therapy
  • VanOnGo — solution digitizing retail delivery processes
  • Verba — AI tool for video creators enabling easy editing and content enhancement
  • YC World — platform for searching, building, and visualizing connections to uncover hidden insights.

The UK-Ukraine TechBridge Investment Accelerator is part of Article 4 of the 100-Year Partnership Agreement between Ukraine and the UK. It aims to strengthen economic cooperation and support innovation.

“Providing these innovative startups a platform to present at London Tech Week demonstrates the strength of the partnership between our countries and how we turn words into actions, innovation, and economic growth,” said UK Minister for Services, Small Business, and Export Gareth Thomas.

Last year’s first cohort of 20 startups raised over $12 million in investments and grants in Ukraine and abroad within a year after completing the programme.

“For the second year running, this accelerator gives Ukrainian startups incredible opportunities to showcase themselves internationally. And it truly pays off. The 20 startups from the pilot programme have already attracted over $12 million, and we are incredibly proud of our tech entrepreneurs,” said Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation Oleksandr Bornyakov.

“Over $12 million raised by last year’s cohort is partly the result of implementing expertise gained by founders within the Investment Accelerator. British expertise, strategically formed acceleration, and ambitious Ukrainian founders create effective collaboration,” emphasized 1991 Ventures partner Denys Hurskyi.

The UK-Ukraine TechBridge Investment Accelerator 2025 is implemented by the 1991 Ventures fund within UK-Ukraine TechBridge — a joint initiative of the UK Government and Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation. The accelerator’s partner is the Ukrainian Startup Fund.
