Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Russian forces have killed 661 and injured more than 2,200 Ukrainian children.
Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko reported this on Telegram.
"On the 1,342nd day of the war, prosecutors are investigating 5,363 criminal cases related to these crimes.
During this time, the Russian Federation has:
– killed 661 children;
– injured 2,203 children;
– destroyed or damaged more than 4,500 schools, kindergartens, and 1,294 hospitals;
– abducted and deported over 19,000 Ukrainian children;
– committed at least 23 cases of sexual violence against children," Kravchenko stated.
He emphasized that each case is evidence of a deliberate policy of terror and an attempt to destroy Ukrainians as a nation.
The Prosecutor General noted that UN Security Council Resolution 1261 defines six grave crimes against children during armed conflict — all six of which Russia commits daily in Ukraine before the eyes of the world.
Kravchenko said Ukrainian prosecutors, together with law enforcement agencies and international partners, are investigating every crime.
"We will do everything possible to ensure that all war criminals — from the direct perpetrators to the Russian leadership — are brought to justice. Time will not stand in the way. These crimes have no statute of limitations," he declared.
