A Ukrainian developer has created an innovative AI service based on Google's Gemini API to support mental health

Ukrainian developer Mykhailo Bayraka has created an AI application to support the mental health of Ukrainians.

MendSelf is an innovative startup specializing in mental health support using advanced artificial intelligence technologies. The service provides round-the-clock psychological support through an integrated chatbot interface developed using Google's Gemini API.

"In times of war in Ukraine, the need for psychological support is increasing, while the resources of psychologists are limited. We understand that critical situations often arise outside of working hours, which is why we are here for you 24/7," explains Mykhailo.

The app offers a free psychological support option, is available outside of working hours, ensures confidentiality and security, and assists introverted and lonely individuals.

"MendSelf is your AI friend who is always there. We do not replace psychologists; we complement their work so you always have access to help. Our service assists users in coping with emotional difficulties and stress, providing continuous support and guidance. The main goal of MendSelf is to make psychological support accessible to everyone, regardless of time and place," the project description states.

Users can interact with our chatbot without the need to create accounts or provide personal information, ensuring complete confidentiality and security.

In the future, developers plan to implement voice interaction to enhance the quality of sessions and provide users with a personalized experience.

MendSelf also aims to support socially isolated individuals and introverts who find it difficult to seek help through traditional means.
