The German authorities have so far refused to grant permission to transfer Leopard tanks, recognized as one of the best in the world, to Ukraine.

Almost half of the German population supports the supply of modern weapons to Ukraine.

Mariya Koval-Honchar, an expert of the Ukrainian Prism Foreign Policy Council, said this on the air of an information telethon.

"The latest statistics show that 48% of the German population is in favor of supplying Ukraine with modern weapons - battle tanks. And 41% of the population is against it," she said.

According to the expert, if you look at the data of this poll and compare them with the political sympathies of the respondents, then among those who support the Green Party, which is represented by German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock, 70% were in favor of providing tanks to Ukraine.
