On November 19, 2024, at 12:00, the "Tribunal for Russia" exhibition will be officially opened at the Polish Independence Museum's Belanska Gate Gallery in Warsaw. The exhibition will be attended by distinguished Polish politicians such as Radosław Sikorski, Szymon Hołownia, Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz, and Adam Bodnar, in addition to representatives from the Ukrainian Embassy in Poland.
The exhibition showcases posters created by Ukrainian artists, which use art to highlight the crimes committed by Russia against the Ukrainian people and the necessity of establishing an international criminal tribunal for Russia. The display reflects Russia's long-standing attempts to consolidate power over Ukrainian territory through political, economic, national, and cultural oppression, as well as repression against Ukrainian intellectuals, dissidents, and mass crimes against the Ukrainian population. These actions were aimed at the destruction of the Ukrainian state and nation.
The "Tribunal for Russia" exhibition aims to support Ukraine in its struggle for freedom and independence while raising public awareness about the long-standing history of Russian aggression against Ukraine, which has been ongoing for centuries. It also addresses the tragedy the Ukrainian people face daily and highlights the need for the consolidation of international efforts to condemn totalitarianism, defend shared civilizational values, democracy, and fundamental human rights and freedoms.
The exhibition fosters a better understanding of the historical and contemporary context of the conflict, which is rooted in Russia's destructive policies.
