Arestovich: Ukrainian defensive strength is showing wonders

"Do not measure all of NATO by the US military alone. NATO consists of 32 countries, and we could become the 33rd," said Alexey Arestovich during a live broadcast with Yuriy Romanenko while discussing the current situation at the frontline.

"So here's the thing: Besides the US Army, the British Army, possibly Poland, Turkey, France, Finland - all the other armies wouldn't have endured even 2 months of the kind of slaughter Ukraine endured, despite all their weaponry. When it comes to smaller countries, with all due respect, we don't need to discuss them because they simply wouldn't have coped numerically. Even those comparable in size, who could have conducted mobilization and deployed their own forces, wouldn't have managed it. This is due to the lack of military experience, doctrines proven false during the war, and unpreparedness for this type of conflict.

Secondly, even the US military would have immense problems if placed in our circumstances, considering the force ratios. Our army on the Zaporizhzhia front isn't facing this situation for the first time in this war, yet it's accomplishing the impossible actions.

Remember, even the US military never attacks prepared defenses. It's forbidden, a doctrine. Without air superiority, firepower superiority on the ground, assured supply lines, it would struggle, especially with fewer forces compared to the attackers.

We are the ones attacking. Right now, near Rabotyne, so you understand, 3 of our formations are attacking against 10 Russian formations. According to some data, even 11 or 12. Even if these are combined units, etc. Lesser forces against greater. Against an enemy with more artillery, more resources, more troops in general. And we win due to the quality and dedication of our forces, and so on.

Despite all our oddities and flaws, in military terms, our defensive strength is showing wonders. All professional military personnel around the world, regardless of what journalists write, "oh, maybe the counteroffensive isn't working," they fully understand: first, the conditions we're operating under, and second, what we're doing.

We have numerous quirks and deficiencies. We could talk about them for hours. But the overall assessment heavily favours Ukraine's defensive forces."
