Banksy's works in the Kyiv region were placed under glass and equipped with special protection systems, the Kyiv Regional Administration reported.
To protect the paintings from possible vandalism and weather conditions, a wireless Ajax security system was installed at Banksy's works in Borodyanka, Irpin, and Gorenka and connected to the 24-hour monitoring of the Sheriff's security company.
From now on, a fast security team will instantly respond to any attempts to steal or damage the drawings. The drawings will be under protection until the issue of their transfer to the museum is finally resolved.
How the security will work: motion and shock sensors will detect attempts to damage or approach the object, activate a street siren nearby and send an alert to the security company through the central security systems. To protect the works from the influence of external factors, an impact-resistant polycarbonate walls were installed.
Inside the glass, a microclimate will be maintained using a sensor with temperature, humidity, and carbon dioxide sensors so that the picture does not deteriorate.
