Belarus has updated its military doctrine, which enshrines the possibility of providing assistance to allies, including the sending of troops.

This was stated in Belarus's military doctrine.

"Belarus considers it possible to provide military assistance to friendly states based on bilateral and multilateral international agreements of the Republic of Belarus, including sending military contingents to participate in relevant activities to maintain international peace and security," the document states.

The doctrine mentions that Belarus considers any actions involving the use of military force against members of the Union State as encroachments in general and "will take appropriate measures in response, using all forces and means at its disposal."

Additionally, the document states that Belarus will be ready to provide any assistance, including military, to a member country of the CSTO in the event of aggression against it.

Ukraine is also mentioned in the military doctrine. In particular, Belarus believes that the "collective West" provoked a "military conflict" in Ukraine and created a hotspot near Belarus's borders in the near future.

"Further support and obstruction of peaceful settlement create conditions for its escalation and gradual expansion of the number of participants at the expense of Poland and other NATO countries. These trends increase the likelihood of involving the Republic of Belarus in an international armed conflict," the document states.
