The Minister of Finance of Ukraine Sergii Marchenko signed a loan agreement with the Government of Canada to provide Ukraine with CAD 500 million concessional loan. The tenure of the loan is 10 years.

I am grateful to the Government of Canada and personally to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Canada Christia Freeland for their decision. Canada is once again demonstrating that it is one of the world's leaders and a reliable friend of Ukraine

The Minister of Finance of Ukraine noted that such a decision is not only a timely contribution to maintaining Ukraine's financial stability but also assistance that brings Ukraine closer to victory over the aggressor.

The funds will be used to finance the state's priority expenditures.
