Croatia is considering the possibility of providing additional power generation equipment to Ukraine. This was discussed during a meeting between Ukraine's Deputy Minister of Energy, Roman Andarak, and the Croatian Ambassador to Ukraine, Anica Djamić, according to a statement from the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.
Andarak expressed gratitude to Croatia for its humanitarian assistance, including 75 tons of equipment that will help strengthen Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
“The provided equipment is of critical importance, especially in frontline regions where a significant portion of energy capacities has been destroyed by the enemy. The support of our partners in developing small distributed generation facilities is extremely valuable to us,” said Andarak.
In response, Djamić stated that Croatia would consider supplying additional power generation equipment to Ukraine and reaffirmed Croatia's commitment to supporting Ukraine, particularly in preparation for the autumn-winter period.
It was previously reported that thanks to regular equipment deliveries, Ukrenergo has created a reserve of equipment for repairing its substations. Additionally, Ukrenergo received a grant of €45 million from the German government for the restoration and protection of energy infrastructure.
In early August, it was reported that the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) had provided equipment and personal protective gear worth over $80 million to Ukrenergo since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
