Czechia is preparing new military aid packages for Ukraine. These packages include significant reinforcement in air defense, electronic warfare, and long-range capabilities.

This was reported by Ukraine’s Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal following his meeting with Tomáš Pojar, advisor to the Prime Minister of Czechia.

The Minister of Defense discussed with Pojar how to meet the most urgent needs of the Ukrainian military. Particular emphasis was placed on the supply of ammunition.

The two sides thoroughly reviewed future deliveries, including specific timelines and plans for this year and next.

Shmyhal emphasized that the Czech initiative has become “an extremely important tool” for supplying ammunition of key calibers.

"Together with Czechia, we will continue to develop mechanisms of the Czech initiative to ensure our soldiers are provided with the necessary shells,” he stated.

The meeting also covered cooperation in the defense industry.

The Minister noted that the process of establishing joint ventures has already begun. At present, a number of important projects are being implemented — particularly the production in Ukraine of shells and Bren 2 rifles.

“Together with the Czech delegation, we analyzed opportunities to launch new projects in Czechia involving leading Ukrainian companies to support Ukraine’s Defense Forces,” Shmyhal reported.

The Defense Minister expressed gratitude to the government and people of Czechia for their leadership and consistent support of Ukraine on the path to a just peace.
