Danilov: The war will not end in May, and the situation at the front depends on the weapons supply

Claims that the war will end in May or in a week are frivolous. The Russian Federation is not as weak as the Ukrainians would like. And the further situation at the front will depend on the supply of Western weapons.

The Secretary made such statements of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov in an interview with the Novoye Vremya portal.

“Those people who say that the war will end in May or in a week are frivolous. This is a very difficult and multicomponent process, and the help of our partners with weapons is the key moment in determining the situation today. Depending on what will be supplied and at what time, the scales will stagger in one direction or the other,” Danilov said.

According to the National Security and Defense Council Secretary, Russia is not as weak “as we would like.” However, now a certain parity has been achieved at the front. It is very difficult for the invaders to move forward, so they use submarines, fleets and other military components.

“But I draw your attention: what concerns aircraft, strategic aviation, what concerns the bombing of our territory with missiles that have very powerful, impressive abilities, all this continues to “work” almost every day,” Danilov emphasized.

Earlier it became known that they wanted to extend the martial law in Ukraine for three months. According to the presidential representative in the Constitutional Court Fyodor Venislavsky, such a period is due to the difficulties of organizing a counteroffensive. Aleksey Arestovich, the adviser to the head of the Presidential Office, also believes that the war is unlikely to end before the fall.
