Russia hit a hostel in the Saltovsky district of Kharkiv with a Kalibr cruise missile.

The hostel housed 30 people, including children and pensioners.

Ivan Sokol, director of the regional Department of Civil Protection, told about this on the site of the Public.

He added that a rescue operation is underway and the rubble is being cleared. According to him, about one-third of the destroyed building has been dismantled.

People with hearing loss and deafness lived in this house, so some victims could not hear the air raid signal. Now people who are under the rubble cannot respond to the cries of rescuers.

"The devastation is terrible. 7 people died. 16 were injured, including an 11-year-old child. One man is in serious condition; the others are hospitalized in moderate condition," Oleg Synegubov, the head of the Kharkiv MA, named the rocket hitting a residential building in Kharkiv real terrorism.
