Russian forces continue attempts to entrench themselves in the north and center of the city of Pokrovsk in Donetsk region, while logistical support for the neighboring city of Myrnohrad is being carried out exclusively by unmanned systems, the OSINT project DeepState reported on Monday.

“The situation remains critical. The battle for Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad continues,” the project’s Telegram channel stated.

According to analysts, the Russian forces keeps spreading across Pokrovsk and its outskirts, trying to establish physical control.

“Most enemy sightings are recorded in the central and northern parts of the city, as fewer and fewer crews are flying into the south. Ukraine’s Defense Forces continue attempts to clear certain areas, but the main work is being done by drone pilots, who are constantly trying to detect and destroy the enemy,” the report says.

A problematic area has been identified near the village of Rivne, located between Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad, and between Pokrovsk and Krasnyi Lyman, where the Russian forces are setting up ambushes, mining the area, and building engineering barriers, complicating logistics toward Myrnohrad.

“As fighters note, logistics to Myrnohrad are currently carried out using UGVs and drones. Vehicles or other machinery have not been used for a long time, and any physical movement to a location almost guarantees running into an enemy ambush and entering into direct fire contact,” DeepState reports.

As previously reported, according to DeepState, the pace of Russian forces advance in the Pokrovsk and Dobropillia directions in Donetsk region slowed tenfold last week: the occupiers seized 3.82 square kilometers, compared with 38.73 square kilometers the week before.
