This number does not include the dead and is two to three times lower than the total number of missing Russians, as not all relatives have submitted search requests yet.
"I Want to Find" is a separate project of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, which began in January 2024 to facilitate the exchange of prisoners of war.
The project provides information about the whereabouts of Russian military personnel in Ukraine as prisoners of war, allowing their relatives to demand from the Russian authorities the granting of prisoner of war status, inclusion in exchange lists, and conducting these exchanges.
