Statements claiming that any assistance to Ukraine could lead to an escalation of the war are merely excuses, and Ukraine's partners need to overcome their fear of Moscow's reaction.
This was stated by Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba during his visit to Poland, as reported by TVN24.
According to Kuleba, the war consumes a vast amount of resources, money, strength, and equipment, but "the main problems always start in people's minds."
"Since the beginning of Russia's invasion, the biggest problem Ukraine has faced is that the fear of escalating the conflict has dominated decision-making among our allies," the Foreign Minister said.
He clarified that every request from Ukraine for new weaponry was initially rejected by its partners.

Kuleba believes that if the fear of escalation hadn't been the main factor influencing allies' decisions, Ukraine would have received the necessary weapons much earlier and been in a better position.
"The biggest challenge is to convince our allies to support us, without worrying about Moscow's reaction... The Russians have launched hundreds of thousands of missiles and shells at our territory. Why? Because they have a very clear strategy and goal: to destroy Ukraine," the minister added.
Therefore, according to him, the argument about the possibility of escalation by Russia has become an excuse to avoid taking decisive action.
"Don't fear Russia's reaction; we are not afraid. We fear nothing. Help us. Give us what we need. We will win this war, and then we will read history books about how we made decisions together," Kuleba emphasized.
