Georgians say they are ready to return to Abkhazia
The tenth day of heroic opposition of the Ukrainian people to the Russian military invasion continues.
Georgian fighters, who fought against the Russian invaders in Donbas for 8 years, recorded a video about their readiness to return the lands seized by the Russian Federation to their homeland while Putin is busy with the war with Ukraine.
An appeal to fellow Georgians appeared on Ukrainian social networks on March 4.
Georgian brothers, today it is very hot in Ukraine. And you know about it. We have a unique chance to return our lands, our regions of Abkhazia and Samachablo. We, Georgians, who have been fighting for the freedom of Ukraine for more than eight years, are also ready to fight for the freedom of Georgia to restore the territorial integrity of Georgia. Therefore, we urge you to take up arms and strike at the enemy. We will not have such a unique opportunity again. Glory to Georgia!
After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Georgian government did not support collective sanctions against the Russian Federation. After that, thousands of Georgians took to the streets to protest in their cities supporting Ukraine.
The main efforts of the invaders are focused on the encirclement of Kyiv and the weakening of resistance in the blocked settlements.
