By the end of this year, 40 modular houses for internally displaced persons are set to be completed in the village of Chornoguz in the Vyzhnytsia community of Bukovina. This was announced by Alyona Atamanyuk, the first deputy head of the Chernivtsi Regional State Administration.
"This year, funds were allocated from the regional budget for the construction of a modular settlement in the Vyzhnytsia community in the village of Chornoguz. With the support of the Red Cross and Italian volunteers, 40 modular houses are being installed there. The process is expected to be completed by the end of this year," Alyona Atamanyuk stated.
She added that preparatory work is currently underway, including laying foundations and preparing the area for the modular houses.
"The modular houses have already been manufactured, and unless there are any unforeseen circumstances, they will all be installed by the end of this year," the official noted.
She also mentioned that from 2022 to 2024, repairs have been made in 49 facilities in Chernivtsi region to accommodate internally displaced persons.
