To rebuild everything that Russia has destroyed in the city, we need more than 10 billion dollars, said the mayor of the city, Terekhov.
"I don't know what the enemy's plan is. Almost all critical energy infrastructure has already been destroyed, including private infrastructure. Russia wants to intimidate us, but it's impossible. Over the past two years, we have seen various levels of threats, starting with sabotage in Kharkiv itself. There were times when out of the almost two million population, only 300,000 remained."
Currently, the city has 1.3 million inhabitants. However, according to the mayor, there will be no exhaustion of Kharkiv.
"So far, neither we nor the military see any reason to evacuate from Kharkiv. The city has survived even more difficult times. There was a time when out of nearly 2 million inhabitants, only 300,000 remained... There is no panic in the city. Russia's attempts to intimidate us do not work - people are united. Kharkiv is the outpost of Ukraine. And we understand this perfectly well," Terekhov said.
