This bridge connects the communities of Mykolaivskyi and Voznesenskyi districts, as reported by the State Agency for Infrastructure Development and Restoration of Ukraine.
The new bridge includes straightening the road and expanding the existing road, as well as adding a climbing lane.
Three layers of asphalt concrete pavement were laid, stairs were installed, barrier and handrails were placed, pedestrian paths were created, a public transport stop was set up, drainage was arranged, road signs were installed, and road markings were applied.
The bridge will be illuminated using energy-efficient lighting fixtures.
The need for constructing a new bridge arose due to the fact that the old bridge, built in 1958, had not undergone repairs for the last 35 years and was in a dilapidated state.
Furthermore, it was located on a horizontal curve with a radius of 100 meters, which resulted in a high number of road accidents.
