The Swiss Intelligence Service, in its latest report, has reported an increase in threats related to foreign espionage, propaganda, and terrorist activity, as repotred by Swiss Info.

According to data published on October 22, 2024, the country has become significantly less safe compared to previous years.

The report highlights an escalation in international jihadist activity since the beginning of 2024, including rapid cases of radicalization among minors.

Authorities warn that this could lead to terrorist attacks, with Jewish and Israeli sites remaining under particular threat.

In addition to terrorist activity, Swiss intelligence notes a rise in Russian influence, espionage, and attempts to spread weapons within the country.

Among other threats, right-wing and left-wing extremism are also mentioned. Overall, the Federal Intelligence Service is monitoring 48 different issues related to national security.
