Ukraine has secured €50 million from the Council of Europe Development Bank and the Italian government to compensate for homes destroyed by the war.

Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi announced this on Telegram.

“The funds will be used for housing certificates under the eRecovery programme. This will provide new homes for around 2,200 Ukrainian families who lost their homes as a result of Russian aggression,” Koretskyi wrote.

According to him, this is the first tranche of an additional €100 million under the HOME project agreed with partners during the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026 (URC 2026) in Gdańsk, Poland. Ukraine had previously secured €200 million under the project, financing more than 6,000 housing certificates.

Koretskyi thanked the Council of Europe Development Bank and the Italian government for their support for Ukraine and assistance to Ukrainian families who have lost their homes because of the war.
