The Latvian government has prepared a second shipment of drones for Ukraine, which were procured as part of their national efforts. The first batch is already en route to Ukraine.
Latvian Defense Minister Andris Sprūds announced this, reported by the ArmyInform.
"Latvia has already organized a shipment of drones, which have already been sent. Currently, we are assembling the second batch of drones, which will soon be sent to Ukraine," he stated.
According to the minister, Latvia, co-leading with the United Kingdom, heads the drone coalition and has pledged to contribute 20 million euros this year.
"Moreover, when we count the commitments made by countries, it totals over 500 million euros, specifically 549 million euros pledged by coalition member states and partners. Therefore, the next step is to effectively utilize this funding, and we are doing so at multiple levels," added Sprūds.
