The Ministry of Defense of Lithuania has sent necessary military support to Ukraine, which includes mortar shells.
The defense ministry stated that the assistance also includes generators and other equipment needed for the upcoming winter.
"Lithuania continues to provide military support to Ukraine," the ministry said.
It is likely that the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense sent 120 mm caliber mortar shells to Ukraine. Before the full-scale invasion, the Lithuanian army had only 57 mortars at its disposal, all of which were of 120 mm caliber.
Specifically, Lithuania had 20 Soviet-made 2B11 mortars, which the country is likely to have already transferred to Ukraine. To replenish its stocks of 120 mm mortars, Lithuania ordered Spanish mortars from the company EXPAL in October 2022.
