"MineFree" is a mobile application developed by volunteers of the Swiss charitable organization Free Ukraine with the support of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES). The purpose of "MineFree" is to increase the level of protection of the civilian population from dangerous explosive devices, the possibility of reporting the detection of ammunition, and informing about territories that pose a potential threat to the population.

Since the beginning of Russian aggression, the State Emergency Service employees have seized more than 176,000 explosive items on the territory of our country. However, despite the efforts of rescuers, more than 30% of the territory of Ukraine is now considered potentially contaminated by various ammunition and explosive devices. Every day, residents of cities and towns are exposed to danger due to explosive weapons left behind or used by the enemy on streets, roads, forests, fields, rivers, lakes, etc. Many people return to their native homes and places, but living conditions have changed, and this must be remembered.

Thanks to the "MineFree" application, anyone who installs it on their mobile phone in Ukraine will have the opportunity to:

  • View the map on which potentially dangerous areas are marked, according to the data of the State Emergency Service.
  • Receive a notification in case of approaching a dangerous object.
  • Get acquainted with the directory of the State Emergency Service, which contains a photo and description of explosive objects.
  • Report the detection of explosive or suspicious objects.

For registered users in the application, a special electronic form with a photo, description, address, and geolocation has been developed. This information immediately reaches the rescuers, which ensures prompt response of the emergency services and further disposal of such items.

You can find out more about the entire functionality on the website www.minefree.info

This project took place thanks to the support of the State Emergency Service specialists. The application is developed in the most convenient form for citizens of different age categories. The design and interface of the application was implemented by the agencies Grape and Axicube, and the concept and development were handled by the companies Eleken and Quantumobile. The developers of the application plan to constantly improve its capabilities.

The Free Ukraine charity organization is grateful to the entire team of the State Emergency Service and its partners for their work and cooperation in achieving the common goal of a "mine-free" Ukraine.

An easy-to-use and easy-to-use mobile application can help keep you and your loved ones safe. Thanks to "MineFree" you will also be able to contribute to demining Ukraine.

The application can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play.
