Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov in co-chairmanship with Ambassador of Switzerland, Delegate of the Federal Council for Trade Agreements, Head of Bilateral Economic Relations Department of the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs Erwin Bollinger opened the thirteenth meeting of the Ukrainian-Swiss Committee.


This is one of the key elements of cooperation between Ukraine and the Swiss Confederation, attracting strategic investments and implementing joint projects.

Ukraine appreciates the full support of the Swiss Confederation, especially in the difficult times of the pandemic. Despite all the challenges, the Government of Ukraine is exerting every effort to improve the business environment and investment climate. It is working to create transparent conditions for doing business. Our main objective now is to attract as much investment as possible into the economy.

Switzerland is an important trade and economic partner of Ukraine. According to the results of 9 months of 2021, the volume of trade in goods and services between Ukraine and Switzerland has doubled compared to the corresponding period of 2020 and amounted to USD 2,384.7 million. And as of June this year, the volume of Swiss investment in Ukraine's economy amounted to USD 3.7 billion.

Mykhailo Fedorov also noted that he was grateful to the Swiss development partners for supporting digitalization in Ukraine. The Ministry of Digital Transformation actively cooperates with the Government of the Swiss Confederation through the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation in the framework of the EGAP program and the DECIDE project.

Thanks to this, we have managed to launch important services in the Diia - eMaliatko, online registration of the place of residence, automatic registration of private individuals, electronic sick-leave certificate, tax services in the Diia and many others. In cooperation with Switzerland, we have also launched the Diia.Digital Education platform, the Vzaemo.Diia portal, and the Diia. Digital Community as well as an All-Ukrainian School Online. We hope that our cooperation in the coming years will be just as productive.

The issues of trade and economic cooperation in the fields of agro-industrial complex, transport, energy and energy efficiency, healthcare, physical culture and sports were also considered at the meeting.
