Ukraine’s Hennadii Udovenko Diplomatic Academy and Italy’s Med-Or Foundation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at strengthening cooperation in diplomatic training, international dialogue and academic research.
The agreement was signed on October 13 at the Med-Or Foundation’s headquarters in Rome by the Academy’s Director, Ihor Ostash, and Med-Or Chairman Marco Minniti.
The ceremony was attended by Ukraine’s Ambassador to Italy, Ihor Brusylo, and Alfredo Mantovano, Undersecretary of State to the Presidency of the Italian Council of Ministers and Italy’s Delegated Authority for the Security of the Republic.

The agreement establishes a framework for developing joint educational programmes, exchanging professional expertise and expanding cooperation between Ukrainian and Italian specialists in diplomacy and international affairs.
Priority areas include collaboration between digital diplomatic training platforms, the involvement of Italian and international lecturers in the Academy’s programmes, and joint research initiatives focused on regional studies.
The partnership will also allow Ukraine’s Diplomatic Academy to draw on Med-Or’s existing international network. The Italian foundation has developed educational and institutional partnerships across Africa and the Middle East, providing opportunities for broader academic exchanges and international cooperation.

The agreement is expected to strengthen the professional development of Ukrainian diplomats while creating new opportunities for cooperation between Ukrainian and Italian academic institutions, foundations and expert organisations.
Both institutions see the partnership as a step towards expanding bilateral relations through education, research and sustained diplomatic dialogue.
