North Macedonia has become the fifteenth country to join the declaration by the leaders of the G7 on security commitments towards Ukraine.

President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this development, expressing his gratitude to North Macedonia for joining the G7 declaration in support of "security guarantees" for Ukraine.

"A total of 15 countries have joined so far. Thanks to Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski for his personal efforts in strengthening the partnership between our countries," Zelensky added.

As known, the G7 countries agreed on a framework document regarding "security guarantees" for Ukraine during the NATO summit in Vilnius. The leaders agreed on the framework rather than specific parameters for the "security guarantees," with concrete bilateral agreements to be signed later.

Prior to North Macedonia, Greece had also joined the G7 declaration.
