Oceanman is the first international open water swimming competition. This year the Oceanman Odessa will take place at Lanzheron beach on September 4-5, 2021.

It is planned that about 1000 athletes from Ukraine will take part in this year's Oceanman Odessa competition.

Oceanman is a unique international project that gives you the opportunity to test your own strength, endurance and courage. The Oceanman races were first held in 2015 in Spain as an open water swim, and immediately became popular among swimmers around the world.

Oceanman also aroused great interest among Ukrainian swimmers - professionals and amateurs. Since 2018, Ukraine has become one of the countries where a qualifying round of open water swimming is held. The 10- and 5-kilometer swims qualify for the Oceanman World Championship. The organizer is the public organization "Ukrainian Federation" Healthy Lifestyle ".

The first Oceanman Odessa 2018 open water swimming championship gathered 784 swimmers from 18 countries, including Germany, Israel, the USA, Denmark, Kazakhstan and others. According to Oceanman director Fermin Egido, Odessa gathered a record number of participants for the debut start. Since 2018, the competition has become a traditional September event in Odessa and is held as part of the Days of Physical Culture and Sports.
