Odessa boxer Elena Medvedenko received the European Boxing Union title in super lightweight (up to 63.5 kg).

The competitions were held in Belgium. The athlete won a duel with the Belgian Jemilla Gontaruk nicknamed Pitbull.

The Odessa woman became the second European champion in the history of Ukraine. Before her, this title was taken by Alina Shaternikova in 1999.

We did it! The belt is ours! Thanks to everyone who supported me, trained with me, and simply supported me. I also want to express my gratitude to my coach, who believed in me more than myself.

Elena Medvedenko
