Offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: the key goal and strategy of the operation
Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President Mykhailo Podolyak spoke about the strategy of the counter-offensive operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the main goal of which is to minimize losses.
He spoke about the results of the work of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on FREEDOM.
“The intensity of shelling from our side of the rear and logistics support of the Russian army has increased. Including in the southern, Kharkiv, and Melitopol directions. We want to destroy all the support as efficiently as possible, that is, shells, fuel, medicines, ammunition … To break the ties between the operational-tactical control and directly by military units, strike at warehouses… In this way, reduce the intensity of Russian fire, bleed them, make them panic… and squeeze them out. This strategy is starting to work today,” Podolyak said.
“This is a competent, well-planned counter-offensive operation that goes simultaneously in many directions. It is gradual, not shock,” he added.
Earlier it was reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine went on the offensive in the south on August 29. Ukrainian fighters broke through the first line of defense of the Russians in the Kherson region.
