On September 12, Russia attacked a civilian vessel carrying Ukrainian grain bound for Egypt with a cruise missile. This is another act of terrorism by the aggressor country.

Fortunately, there were no casualties this time.

'Russia systematically targets port infrastructure, which directly impacts global food security. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, there have been over 50 such attacks, damaging more than 280 port infrastructure facilities and destroying over 100,000 tons of agricultural products. Meanwhile, Ukraine will continue to ensure the effective operation of the Ukrainian Corridor in the Black Sea, so that all countries in Africa and the Middle East receive the necessary products. The world must respond accordingly and increase sanctions pressure on Russia for violations of international maritime law,' said Oleksii Kuleba, Vice Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine and Minister for Communities and Territories Development.

It is worth noting that since the start of the Ukrainian Corridor in August 2023, more than 2,500 vessels have entered Ukrainian ports. A total of 68.6 million tons of cargo have been processed, including 46 million tons of agricultural products exported to over 46 countries worldwide.
