The Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Ukraine have adopted new NATO standards, specifically focusing on the implementation of 'air and space operations,' as reported by the Ministry of Defense on Tuesday.
During October-November 2023, the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Ukraine have introduced four additional NATO standards.
Among them are 'Education and training for operations in an urban environment' (standardized training for preparing for combat operations in large populated areas);
'Tactics, techniques, and procedures for NATO airborne operations' (providing commanders and their staff with leadership in planning, coordination, and execution of airborne operations);
'Conduct of land tactical operations' (providing leadership in planning and executing measures and tasks for stabilizing situations that may arise within any operation and any campaign)
"Air and space operations" (pertaining to the overall doctrine upon which standardized procedures for the application of capabilities for actions in aerospace space during joint operations can be formulated)," as stated in the announcement published on the Ministry of Defense's Facebook page.
It is also noted that currently, the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Ukraine have implemented 280 NATO standards: 174 within the framework of the Ukraine-NATO Partnership Goals (priority NATO standards), and 106 of the so-called "initiative" standards implemented by Ukraine outside the Partnership Goals.
