Over the past two years since its launch, the government has invested 10 billion UAH in entrepreneurship through grants. More than 4 billion UAH has already been returned by grant recipients through taxes and fees paid to the budget.

This was announced by Ukraine's First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Yulia Svyrydenko.

"21,000 entrepreneurs have benefited from the eRobota grant programmes, which we launched over two years ago to support and stimulate the development of small and medium-sized businesses. During this time, the state has invested a total of 10 billion UAH in their projects through grants. Thanks to this support, entrepreneurs have opened thousands of new companies, increased production, expanded their range of products and services, explored new areas of activity, and made a name for themselves in new markets. They have also created around 60,000 jobs across all regions of the country. Business is working, developing, paying taxes, and strengthening our economy. More than 4 billion UAH of state investments have already been returned to the budget through taxes and fees paid," noted Yulia Svyrydenko.

Since the launch of the eRobota project in July 2022:

  • Under the "Own Business" programme: 19,000 micro-grants have been issued for 4.5 billion UAH;
  • For the development of processing enterprises: 779 grants totaling 3.9 billion UAH have been issued;
  • For horticulture and greenhouse development: 240 grants worth 1.1 billion UAH have been issued;
  • For veterans and their family members: 1,036 grants totaling 481 million UAH have been issued.

Both current entrepreneurs and those without business experience can apply for a grant. Applications are submitted through the Diia portal along with a business plan. A mandatory condition for receiving a grant is the creation of new jobs — from 1-2 when providing a micro-grant to several dozen when granting funds under other programmes. Grant funds are returned to the state in the form of taxes and fees paid during the enterprise's operations over three years.

Information on obtaining a grant under the 'Own Business' programme can be found on the programme's website: https://vlasnasprava

Note: The eRobota project was launched by the government in July 2022 to support businesses and stimulate the creation of new jobs. It includes several grant programs, including micro-grants for opening or developing one's business, grants for veterans and their spouses, grants for establishing and developing processing enterprises, and grants for horticulture and greenhouse farming.
