During a visit to the training camp for the preparation of the Ukrainian National Team for the United States Air Force Trials 2024, Yulia Laputina, the Minister of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, emphasized that each member of the team represents the face of Ukraine at international competitions. In March, 30 participants will represent our country in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

As stated by the ministry, the training camp took place in Kyiv with the support of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine in a closed format for the safety of participants. The National Team of Ukraine includes both veterans and active-duty military personnel: 18 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (including two veterans), 6 members of the National Guard of Ukraine, 2 representatives of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, 1 representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, 1 representative of the State Security Service of Ukraine, and 2 representatives of the Security Service of Ukraine.
"I am proud that you have joined and passed this very difficult selection process, becoming part of the National Team. Ahead of you awaits much that is interesting but, at the same time, challenging. When you embarked on this path, it is not only about self-improvement and improving the quality of your life, but it is also about the opportunity to represent Ukraine in the world. We bravely confront the enemy and achieve victories on the front, but sports victories of veterans are also important to us," noted Minister of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine Yulia Laputina.
Over the course of 3 days, members of the Ukrainian National Team underwent training, participated in general physical conditioning exercises, gave interviews to the media, and took part in other sports events in preparation for their participation in the United States Air Force Trials 2024.
It's worth noting that during the international sports competition United States Air Force Trials 2024, athletes will compete in 8 sports disciplines: rowing, swimming, track and field (running), powerlifting, sitting volleyball, archery, wheelchair basketball, and cycling.
