On the night of September 3, 2023, Russians launched several waves of successful drone attacks using "Shahed-136/131" UAVs from the south and southeast directions (Cape Chaudo, Crimea, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Russia).
A total of 25 strikes by the "Shahed-136/131" combat UAVs have been recorded, targeting the southern regions of Odessa.
Out of these, 22 drones have been successfully destroyed by the efforts and resources of the Air Force in coordination with the anti-aircraft defense and other components of the Ukrainian defense forces
The mass drone attack lasted for over 3.5 hours. Unfortunately, there were hits on the port infrastructure, resulting in a fire that was promptly extinguished by firefighters.
It has been determined that in Reni, two men, aged 34 and 42, who are port employees, were injured. Doctors diagnosed one of them with a shoulder burn, while the other experienced deafness due to the shockwave. Fragments from the strike UAVs landed on the territory of a private residence and on objects within the port infrastructure.
