50 children from Kramatorsk were evacuated to Switzerland
The Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Maryna Lazebna said that 50 children from vulnerable categories from Kramatorsk were evacuated to Switzerland. These are students of the Center for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation of Children of the Kramatorsk City Council Children's Service.
"We are constantly working and expanding cooperation with partner countries to evacuate children from vulnerable categories. We work with those countries whose governments create the necessary conditions and control the satisfaction of all the needs of Ukrainian children. We involve international organizations in ensuring the protection of the rights of displaced children.
Last week, the monitoring group, which includes members of the Coordination Staff for the Protection of Children's Rights in Martial Law, made monitoring visits to several countries to monitor the living conditions of our children and promptly resolve any issues that arise," said Maryna Lazebna.
During martial law, a coordinated evacuation of more than 10,000 children from vulnerable categories was ensured. These are orphans, children deprived of parental care, as well as children without such status, who are enrolled in various types of institutions for round-the-clock stay, children from foster families, family-type orphanages, foster families, children in care and custody.
Almost 6,900 children have been relocated abroad. Of these, 3647 children - were from institutional institutions and 3238 children from family forms of education. All children are relocated with accompanying persons.
Accompanying persons are obliged to register children at the consular office of Ukraine in the host country.
The consular office is obliged to inform the National Social Service about the registration of children through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs within one working day.
The National Social Service of Ukraine monitors their stay abroad and their return to Ukraine after the situation stabilizes.
