700 kg of TNT, which the State Bureau of Investigation confiscated from a private enterprise in the Kharkiv region, will be transferred to the Armed Forces
The State Bureau of Investigation officers discovered the explosive during an investigation into the illegal sale of TNT by officials of a state-owned enterprise to a private company.
It was established that the buyer company did not have a license to manufacture, store, transport, purchase, or sell weapons, ammunition and explosives.
The State Bureau of Investigation officers conducted a series of searches and seized more than 8,000 metal cans, in which employees of the plant packed TNT to disguise the explosive. The explosive was "packaged" under the guise of non-military goods to ensure the agreement's legality with the merchants.
The pre-trial investigation under Part 1 of Art. 263 (Illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives), Part 3 of Art. 426 (Inaction of military power) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Article sanctions include up to 7 years in prison.
